Another lazy Sunday

Yesterday was really nice. We went to church and then Cliff and Karen took us out on the boat over to BoatWerks for Sunday brunch for Eric's birthday. If you haven't been there for lunch I highly recommend it! It was wonderful! After lunch we laid out by the pool for the afternoon and grilled out and had cake at night. Brian and I were pretty tired by the time we got home so we took a quick nap, played Blokus and went to bed. It was a nice relaxing Sunday!

FRC Summer Picnic

Saturday we had the FRC picnic. Brian had my brothers bachelor party (all day!) so he didn't come. We had a great day up at Maranatha in Muskegon. The weather turned out to be great and we had a great turn out! You can see why we are called Family Research Council....we had more kids than adults!

ZFS Summer Picnic

Friday night we had Zeeland Farm's Summer Picnic out at Craig's Cruisers in GR. It was a lot of fun. That place is huge! Karinda and Kylie had a ton of fun as well. Here is Eric and Karinda on the go karts.

Kate and Kylie.

Brian and I had a lot of fun on the go karts as well and playing video games. Just ask Brian about the boxing game...he sure got his work out in for the day!

We convinced Kylie and Karinda to ride the Frogger ride (smaller version of the Demon Drop). Kylie loved it but as you can see in this picture it was a little too much for Karinda! And Kate and Karen had a little too much fun! You should have heard them giggling! It was a hoot!

Babysitting Grace

Last night I was lucky enough to get to babysit Grace so Kath could take Brian out for his birthday. She was a little congested so she cuddled with me and took a little cat nap which definitely gave her enough energy to jump in her jumparoo. Her legs must be made of rubber! She was so funny! We had a lot of fun together!

Busy Weekend

Although Brian was gone to MIS to the Nascar race this weekend I stayed pretty busy. And due to all the rain it sounds like Brian and the guys will be heading home soon b/c the race will probably be cancelled again today. Bummer for them but we need the rain! Friday night we had my soon-to-be sister-in-law's bachelorette party. We started off at Corkscrews and then headed to the Curraugh downtown.

Here is a picture of her sisters and I. Sarah, Kim (Mike's fiance), me and Gina.

I gave Kim an embroidered robe with her new initials...it took her a minute to figure it out! Nice to have another "blonde" in the family! :o) She is so funny.

Saturday morning I went for breakfast to the Embassy with my mom, we stopped by Mike and Kim's house to check out the landscaping and then we went to the Olive Center Garden tour. It was pretty neat. They had several old wedding gowns (my grandma Boers's included) on display at the Museum. They were really cool to look at. Grandma's was by far one of the most elegant ones.

At night Kate picked me up and we took the girls on the trolley in Grand Haven. I had never been so it was pretty fun despite the rain. Then we stopped for pizza and went to the Kite store b/c I wanted to buy Blokus (Jason and Martha got us hooked). The girls had so much fun playing in the store and weren't too happy when we told them we had to go. We made up for it by stopping at McDonald's on the way home for ice cream.

Isn't he a ham?

Yesterday I got to babysit Reese for the afternoon. He is so cute but definitely a handful. And as you can see he is a drooler! He did take a nice 2 hour nap and did really good when we ran to my house and went for a bike ride. Gotta love those baby rolls he still has!

Don't you just want to squeeze those cheeks?

Cottage Fun

This weekend we went up to my Aunt and Uncle's cottage. Brian and the girls had a lot of fun tubing together. As you can see Brian was always the wild one but he probably was also the one that fell off the most!

Here is Brian before he bit it knee boarding.

We all felt kind of dirty from swimming, laying out in the sun, etc. so Uncle Ken took us out to the middle of the lake to wash our hair. Just ask Allyssa, its hard to wash your hair with two hands as your trying to tread water!

Colorado Friends

Dana and Adam were home for the week from Colorado so we decided to get together with a bunch of our friends Friday night. Here is a pic of all the ladies and of course adorable little Cadin and Stacey's dog Lola.

Tea Party

So can I just say we have the cutest nieces? Kate took the girls last night to a park to have their pictures taken. These are just a few of them. The lady took 500 pictures! I can't wait to see the rest! They are absolutely adorable!

Fireworks

Again, the GH fireworks were awesome. They always do a great job. Of course the hill started on fire but they were able to control it. Jen, what the heck are you trying to do to us in this picture? :o)

We were even one of the first boats back to the Port Sheldon docks so we were out of there and in bed by midnight!

Coast Guard Festival

This past weekend we were lucky enough to have Tim and Jen invite us out on their boat for the Coast Guard Festival along with Ross and Sarah. We had a great day even though the sun didn't shine. The lake was so clear and warm. We were even able to borrow the in-laws dingy to go grab some pizza from Kirby. Overall it was a really fun time!

Not much new

I forgot my camera today so sorry, no new pics to post! I will make sure and remember tomorrow and put some up of Coast Guard this weekend. Brian is gone to Chicago until Wed. for training for work so I am home alone. I think I will probably head to my brother Mike's house to help paint. Other than that....kind of a quiet week!

Coast Guard

Last night we took our bikes to Grand Haven to ride around and check out the skiers. We also road through the park and said Hi to Grassmids and Wolters. Then we hung out with DeWitts on their boat for a little bit. We got to play with Jacob too! He is so fricken cute! The past two times we have gone to Grand Haven we always park at a church near the hospital and we see these deer just hanging out! Last night Brian said, "Wonder if we will see the deer?" I turned and looked and they were right in the backyard of a house. We rode right past them! They definitely are pretty tame. Kind of crazy to see them right in middle of Grand Haven.
