Ok, these are not in the right order at all but since I am so behind I am doing one quick post of some highlights of our summer in July and August. One night we ventured off to the Hudsonville Fair. Not realizing it was dollar days! Thankfully the kids were content for a few rides and then we topped the night off with junk food.
Happy with food in hand riding in the stroller!
Although he was too little we still were able to sneak Trey on one ride.
We have also spent many nights either out at the Holland State Park or in Grand Haven. A few weeks ago we took our neighbor and Carter's BFF Sydney with.
Carter also did another VBS week at Faith United not too far from our house. He loved that Liam, Norah, Jace, Deacon and Jacob all went too!
And we love my days off where we can all hang out in bed!
Our nephew Kasen turned 2 and had a fun construction themed party!
We also hit the Hudsonville Fair in July. We always go the night that Brian is buying animals so I of course took my mom with. The kids loved the animals and Carter had to do the big rides. He already is over the little kids ones! Has a roller coaster love like his daddy!
Another fun event was Coast Guard fest with mom and dad Meeuwsen. We had a lot of fun swimming in the big lake and hanging on the boat.
Our nieces also came out on their boat for an afternoon so the kiddos had fun playing with them. Brian convinced Karinda to jump off the boat with him.
We also hit up the carnival downtown one night.
And convinced Carter to go on this ride. He had NO clue what was coming. He was stunned for about 5 minutes after and said he isn't going to ride it again until he is 7. :)
We also had the ZFS and FRC parties. Both at parks with great food and fun and games. The nice thing about a family business is that there are always plenty of Meeuwsen's to love on our kiddos!
Brian had to be in the dunk tank. It was kind of a chilly day that day so he didn't last too long!
FRC Party
Brian was out of town so I once again dragged my mom along to help. I am in charge of ours so I knew I couldn't manage alone! Thanks mom!
Carter got to go on a special day with Grandma Ann (Mary Ann) the week before Pre-school. Something my grandma always did with me that I will always remember. They went mini-golfing, picked up McDonald's and went to Kollen Park, went to the Peanut Store, went to Walmart to pick out some toys/activities and ended with a visit to Great Grandma. He thought he was big stuff and had a blast with Grandma.
And lastly we went with my parents on Labor Day to the truck parade. The boys liked it but boy are they LOUD!!!
