Fall Fun

I am in between computers again while I transition to being full time mommy so here is one post to catch up a little bit of what we have done this fall.  Carter was able to ride on a float in Zeeland's Pumpkin Fest parade with his friends from school.  Just him and I went since it was drizzly and chilly and there was room on the float so I rode with him.  We had fun together.

This year after seeing lots of signs for Fun Pumpkins we thought we would check it out one nice Sunday night.  We were the only ones there and had fun checking out the crazy pumpkins and walking through the pumpkin patch.

We never got around to carving our pumpkins this year but Carter had just as much fun smashing them in the woods with me this weekend. :)
We also made some Halloween sugar cookies this year.  I pretty much let the boys run with it and frost and decorate as they wished.  They were covered in sprinkles!  Daddy was a happy guy...his favorite!

And on my days off we often have lazy/fun days.  Here are the boys rocking out!  Too funny.   Don't ya love Trey's garage sale special PJ's...they are hilarious.
And our little miss getting into the boys cereal...trouble!

Jade turns ONE!!!

Wow, where did the last year go???  Our little miss turned one on September 23...I can't believe she is one already.  We had a great little party with our families and it was fun to do a PINK theme!  Here she is in her girlie little outfit.

The food table.
Pink champagne cupcakes.  I had two people ask where I got them from...I'll take that as a compliment since I made them!

All the guys....
...and all the ladies.
The boys had fun helping Jade open her presents.  Carter was hoping she would get some boy toys...sorry bud..not this time! :)
Jade had more fun climbing on her presents.
Loving her new grocery-getter! :)
Listening to everybody sing....
...then digging in true to her love of food!
And one last pic with mommy!
We had her one year check up the next day and she weighed in a 17 lbs. 9 oz. (5th %) and was 50th percent for height.  Still our little miss but she shot up in height the last three months.  She only has two little bottom teeth...waiting for more any day!  And she is walking around furniture and will stand by herself for about a second.  She still takes two good naps and sleeps about 11-12 hours a night.  She LOVES to eat and overall is a HAPPY baby.  Love you to pieces pretty girl!

4Wheel Jamboree-Indy Event

The middle of September Brian and I and the gang that we went to Lima, OH with headed down to the Indianapolis State Fair Grounds for another 4 Wheel Jamboree.  This time we were able to take the Bronco so that was fun.  The weather was perfect and once again we had a care-free weekend with lots of laughs and just hanging out!  Here are some of the fun and cool things we seen!

This little dude sure was riding in style!!!

Everyone thought this should be my next ride...hey, I'd take it!
Check out this trailer!  ha, and the guy in the back ! :)

The fun that we got to ride in all weekend!  It was pretty neat to see how many came and checked it out.  Makes all the guys proud!
Next year we have some friends on the list that need to come to Lima with us!  I promise girls...it really is fun!

Pre-School!

September meant Pre-School started for Carter and he LOVES it!  He gets so excited when he gets to go.  He goes M,W, F mornings to Borculo Christian School.  It's so nice and close to our house and I went there so it brings back lots of memories!

Here are the three kiddos enjoying some french toast sticks and sausage before Carter's first day.  Now Carter always thinks we have to have this breakfast on school days.  :) And yes, our counter always is a mess like that!
A few pics outside before leaving.  He was grinning from ear to ear!
Quick picture in front of the school sign.

Their teacher took a picture of each one of them when they first came in the classroom.

And this is how Trey felt.  He was SO sad that he couldn't stay. He walked right in and sat down and started doing puzzles.  I had to drag him out crying.  I have learned to only take Jade and Trey in when we pick him up.  Makes things go must smoother and Trey is ok with it!
Carter has made several friends and even has some that go to our church so that has been fun.  A few of my friends from Borculo have their kiddos in the same class so it's been fun to catch up with them too!

Summer Wrap-Up

Ok, these are not in the right order at all but since I am so behind I am doing one quick post of some highlights of our summer in July and August.  One night we ventured off to the Hudsonville Fair.  Not realizing it was dollar days!  Thankfully the kids were content for a few rides and then we topped the night off with junk food.
Happy with food in hand riding in the stroller!
Although he was too little we still were able to sneak Trey on one ride.

We have also spent many nights either out at the Holland State Park or in Grand Haven.  A few weeks ago we took our neighbor and Carter's BFF Sydney with.

Carter also did another VBS week at Faith United not too far from our house.  He loved that Liam, Norah, Jace, Deacon and Jacob all went too!

And we love my days off where we can all hang out in bed!

Our nephew Kasen turned 2 and had a fun construction themed party!

We also hit the Hudsonville Fair in July.  We always go the night that Brian is buying animals so I of course took my mom with.  The kids loved the animals and Carter had to do the big rides.  He already is over the little kids ones!  Has a roller coaster love like his daddy!

Another fun event was Coast Guard fest with mom and dad Meeuwsen.   We had a lot of fun swimming in the big lake and hanging on the boat.

Our nieces also came out on their boat for an afternoon so the kiddos had fun playing with them.  Brian convinced Karinda to jump off  the boat with him.
We also hit up the carnival downtown one night.

And convinced Carter to go on this ride.  He had NO clue what was coming.  He was stunned for about 5 minutes after and said he isn't going to ride it again until he is 7.  :)

We also had the ZFS and FRC parties.  Both at parks with great food and fun and games.  The nice thing about a family business is that there are always plenty of Meeuwsen's to love on our kiddos!

Brian had to be in the dunk tank.  It was kind of a chilly day that day so he didn't last too long!

 FRC Party

Brian was out of town so I once again dragged my mom along to help.  I am in charge of ours so I knew I couldn't manage alone! Thanks mom!
Carter got to go on a special day with Grandma Ann (Mary Ann) the week before Pre-school.  Something my grandma always did with me that I will always remember.  They went mini-golfing, picked up McDonald's and went to Kollen Park, went to the Peanut Store, went to Walmart to pick out some toys/activities and ended with a visit to Great Grandma.  He thought he was big stuff and had a blast with Grandma.

And lastly we went with my parents on Labor Day to the truck parade.  The boys liked it but boy are they LOUD!!!
