Fun at the park

Brian hasn't moved from the bed all day and is still not feeling any better so Carter and I tried our best to stay far away. We started the day by taking Kathy and Jackson out for breakfast for her birthday, then got groceries, then washed screens and windows outside, then I got some time in the sun and when Carter was up from his nap we went for a walk to the park. Here are some pics:
He stepped on his little toy quad and it hurt so he thought he needed to cuddle with Lucky. He loves his ki ki as he calls her. Good thing she is pretty tolerant.

Projects

Well I haven't been the best at taking pictures of Carter lately....he did have his one year pics taken last week...hopefully the proofs will be up soon so you can check them out. He was not in the mood for pics that day so we shall see how they turn out. Somehow Carlia always seems to work miracles! :)

So, since I don't have new pics of Carter here is a pic of cake #2 from my decorating class. Next week we officially graduate...yeah!

And here is a pic of the invite I made for my grandma's 80th birthday party. This is the front side. The backside had all the details. I am also working on some more wedding invites right now but will wait to post those until they have gone out.

Brian isn't feeling too well and came home sick today with the flu so extra prayers that he gets better would be great. We have a busy and fun weekend planned and the weather is going to be awesome so being sick is going to be the pits!

Cake #1

Kathy and I are taking a cake decorating class at Hobby Lobby and Monday night we had to bring a frosted cake and then we learned some techinques with different tips and a pattern transfer thing that bombed big time for Kath and I...just ask one of us! Yes, we had to make a rainbow. :) My co-workers will be spoiled for the next 3 weeks with cakes and hopefully can see if my skills improve. So far the class has been REALLY fun and I am excited to start making and decorating more cakes.

Easter Weekend

Saturday we headed to Grand Haven to an Easter Egg hunt. They had the 0-2 year olds go first so Carter went right in and filled his basket. ha,ha...ok, not really....mom and dad had to help.

Here he is checking one out.

Helping dad fill his basket.

Helping mom to see if we won any prizes....nope...just a bunch of suckers and stickers!

Sunday we started the day off celebrating Jesus resurrection at church. I couldn't believe how full it was. If only some of those people would attend more than just on the Holidays. Then we headed to Uncle Dave and Aunt Betty's house for a wonderful meal. We took some family pics outside. It was a little bright for Carter.

My family.

Easter Bunny

Today Jen and I took the boys to see the Easter bunny. Carter thought he was pretty cool and was antsy waiting to get to sit by him. Liam just chilled out and thought he was pretty comfy. Of course we had to dress them in their studly little sweaters. :)
Thankfully Carter hasn't hit the separation anxiety stage yet so we are hoping he doesn't!

Blog to book

Ok, I am asking for some advice here. As most of you know I am NOT a scrapbooker...way too much time and money...and I am not creative! So I was going to make a Shutterfly photobook or something similar for each year of our kids lives. One for us and one for them to keep. But then I came across some sites where you can turn your blog into a book...which I thought would be cool b/c then there would be a few more stories and pics of Carter's last year and most likely I wouldn't miss any highlights. So I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations to any sites or have seen anyone's books where people have done that? Feel free to leave a comment and you blog stalkers can just put an anonymous comment in if you wish. :) Thanks!

Sorry...boring post I know. Not much new around here. Brian and I have been selling maniacs on Craigslists...its been fun...we keep thinking of more stuff to get rid of it. Like Dave Ramsey says, 'make the kids think they are next!'
