Kathy and I are taking a cake decorating class at Hobby Lobby and Monday night we had to bring a frosted cake and then we learned some techinques with different tips and a pattern transfer thing that bombed big time for Kath and I...just ask one of us! Yes, we had to make a rainbow. :) My co-workers will be spoiled for the next 3 weeks with cakes and hopefully can see if my skills improve. So far the class has been REALLY fun and I am excited to start making and decorating more cakes.

Cake #1

This is great! What a neat idea! I wonder if our Michael's here in NY offers something like this--I'd totally be game! I want to make a special cake for Dash's birthday--not that he'll be eating it, but still...pass on any ideas or tips!
Cool cake Kelly! I took that same cake decorating class back in January! I learned lots, I am sure you'll be glad that you took it! Have fun.
